- Update for 3.5.020030301a: Height of logo.gif is 35 pixels, not 60. This led to a stretched picture at the login page (login.html, invalid.html, expired.html). Thanks to Benedikt Gleich for the report.
- Due to file permission problems, simple installation as described below wasn't possible at least with 3.5.0.20030301.
Download german templates version 3.5.0.20030301b de-de-3.5.0.20030301b.tar.gz with corrected permissions. Thanks to Alexander Bruns for the hint.
Since the templates aren't changed in SQWebmail 3.5.1, there is no need for an update. Simple use de-de-3.5.0.20030301b.tar.gz.

SQWebmail is Part of the Courier-mail server. As a web frontend to mail servers it can be combined also with qmail and vpopmail to a fully featured multi domain mail server.A good german installation manual to this combination can be found at http://www.treiber-forum.de/linux/berichte/qmail.php.
When I was testing my server running sqwebmail there was no current german translation of the html templates.

These packages contain only the german html template directory or diffs against the files of the english package. The current version of sqwebmail can be downloaded at http://www.courier-mta.org/download.php.

Installation:

A detailed Guide for creating, maintaining and installing of foreign language
templates can be found in the SQWebmail distribution (sqwebmail/html/README_LANG)

If SQWebmail is already installed, you only need to copy the new language
template directory (this distribution) to the place where the original templates
reside (usually /usr/local/share/sqwebmail/html).
Now you only have to create a symlink to the new template directory
(de -> de-de), similar to the original english constellation (en -> en-us).
Now for all Browsers which have set the preferred language german/germany
(de-de) or simply german (de) SQWebmail uses the newly installed html templates.
